Multitasking Test
For 30 seconds, click the targets and call the arrow direction at the same time. How wide is your split attention?
How to play
- Tap the red target the moment it appears — each hit is +1, and a new one spawns instantly.
- At the same time, match the on-screen arrow with the arrow keys (or the 4 direction buttons on mobile) — each match is +1.
- Juggle both tasks for 30 seconds. Your final score is the total points from both. Higher is better!

The Multitasking Test runs two jobs at you in parallel and refuses to let you do them one at a time. For 30 seconds you must keep hitting the targets that pop up across the board while a separate arrow keeps flashing in the corner — and for every arrow you have to answer its direction before it changes. Clicking fast is easy; clicking fast while a second stream of decisions keeps interrupting you is where divided attention either holds or shatters.
The two tasks share one clock, so neither stops while you handle the other. Lock onto only the targets and you will miss arrows; stare only at the arrows and the targets pile up unscored. The score rewards the players who can split focus cleanly — letting peripheral vision track the targets while the front of the mind decodes each direction — and it punishes the tunnel vision that feels productive but quietly drops half the workload. Reaction speed matters, but the rarer skill is switching between the two channels fast enough that neither one goes cold.
A full run is 30 seconds, short enough for a quick read on how you hold up under genuine simultaneous load — a pre-study focus check, a between-meetings reset, or a head-to-head on who really juggles better. Share your result as a challenge link to compare divided-attention scores under identical rules, or push for the top of the global ranking and find out today just how parallel your brain can really go.
