Your images never leave your device — everything runs in your browser.

This free Image Resizer lets you resize, crop and compress images right in your browser, and nothing is uploaded to a server. Add up to 20 photos at once by choosing files, dragging them in or pasting with Ctrl+V. JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF are supported. Set the size you need, then download each result. There is no sign-up and nothing to install.

You can resize an image in three ways: scale by percentage, enter an exact width × height in pixels (the aspect-ratio lock can be turned on or off), or set the long edge to a 720, 1080, 1920 or 2560 px preset. To resize an image for Instagram without cropping, set the long edge to 1080 px and the whole photo is kept. Crop presets are Free, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 and 9:16, and you drag to adjust the area. You can also rotate 90° left or right and flip horizontally or vertically.

To compress an image to a set size such as 50 KB or 100 KB, enter a target size in KB and the quality is adjusted to get close to it. Target-size compression works for JPG and WebP only, because PNG is lossless and has no quality setting. You can keep the original format or save as JPG, WebP or PNG, and the quality slider runs from 10 to 100. Each result shows how much smaller it is than the original, as a percentage.

Every image is redrawn when you save it, so EXIF metadata such as GPS location is removed from the downloaded file. The photo's EXIF orientation is applied automatically, so pictures don't come out sideways. HEIC photos from an iPhone open directly in every modern browser, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, so you can add them without converting first. You can download files one at a time or all at once, and each one is saved as a separate file, not a ZIP.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. Are my photos uploaded to a server?

    A. No. Resizing, cropping and compression all happen inside your browser, so your images never leave your device. There is no sign-up and nothing to install.

  • Q. Does it remove EXIF data and GPS location from photos?

    A. Yes. Every image is redrawn when it is saved, so EXIF metadata, including GPS location, is not copied into the downloaded file. The EXIF orientation is applied first, so the photo stays upright.

  • Q. How do I compress an image to 100 KB, and why doesn't it work for PNG?

    A. Choose JPG or WebP as the output format and enter 100 as the target size in KB. The quality is then adjusted to get close to that size. PNG is lossless and has no quality setting, so target-size compression isn't available for it. Switch to JPG or WebP, or reduce the pixel size instead.

  • Q. Can I resize HEIC photos from an iPhone?

    A. Yes. HEIC photos open directly in every modern browser, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a PC or phone, so you can add them as they are. You can save the results as JPG, WebP or PNG.

  • Q. Can I resize multiple photos at once?

    A. Yes, up to 20 at a time. The size, format and quality settings apply to every image, while crop and rotation are set photo by photo. Download them one by one or all at once; each is saved as its own file, not a ZIP.
