This free HEIC to JPG converter turns iPhone photos into JPG files right in your browser, and nothing is uploaded to a server. It also converts WebP to JPG, WebP to PNG, PNG to JPG and HEIC to PNG. Add up to 30 images by choosing files, dragging them in or pasting with Ctrl+V, pick JPG, PNG or WebP, then download. There is no sign-up and nothing to install.
How do you convert HEIC to JPG on Windows? Open this page in Chrome, Edge or Firefox, drop in your HEIC photos, keep JPG selected and download. No extra app or codec is needed. HEIC and HEIF files open in every modern browser through a built-in decoder, which loads once (about 3 MB) the first time you add a HEIC file. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), AVIF and BMP are accepted as input too.
JPG and WebP come with a quality slider from 10 to 100, set to 90 by default. PNG is lossless, so it has no quality setting, but PNG files are usually larger than JPG. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas turn white when you convert a PNG or WebP to JPG; choose PNG or WebP to keep them. The pixel dimensions stay exactly the same as the original. To shrink the size or file weight, use the Image Resizer.
Every image is redrawn when it is saved, so EXIF metadata such as GPS location is not carried into the converted file. The EXIF orientation is applied first, so photos stay upright. Download files one by one or use Download all, which saves each image as a separate file rather than a ZIP. Safari on Mac and every browser on iPhone and iPad can't save images as WebP, so the WebP option is switched off there automatically; JPG and PNG work normally, and WebP files still open as input.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do I convert HEIC to JPG for free?
A. Drop your iPhone HEIC photos onto this page, leave the output on JPG and download. HEIC is the iPhone's default photo format, but many websites and apps still don't accept it, while JPG opens almost everywhere. The tool is free, needs no sign-up and works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a PC, Mac or phone.
Q. Are my photos uploaded to a server?
A. No. Conversion happens entirely inside your browser, so your images never leave your device. There is no sign-up and nothing to install. EXIF metadata such as GPS location is also left out of the converted files.
Q. Does converting to JPG reduce image quality?
A. JPG is a lossy format, so a little detail is traded for a smaller file. At the default quality of 90 the difference is hard to spot. Raise the slider to 100 for the highest quality, or choose PNG for lossless output. The resolution in pixels never changes.
Q. Can I convert multiple images at once?
A. Yes, up to 30 per batch. The format and quality you choose apply to every image. Download them one by one or with Download all. Each image is saved as its own file, not a ZIP, and your browser may ask you to allow multiple downloads.
Q. Should I convert to PNG or JPG?
A. Choose JPG for photos you want to share or upload: the files are smaller and open everywhere. Choose PNG for screenshots, graphics or images with transparency, because it is lossless and keeps transparent areas, though the files are usually larger. WebP gives small files and also keeps transparency.
