Paste an article, a pile of comments, survey answers or meeting notes, and the Giggleus word cloud generator draws the words you used most in the biggest type. Words are split at spaces and counted regardless of capitalization, with punctuation at the edges trimmed and one-letter tokens skipped; Chinese and Japanese text written without spaces is broken into words by your browser's built-in word segmentation. The 250 most frequent words make it into the picture. Nothing is filtered for you, so words like "the" and "and" count too — delete them first, or paste a list of keywords instead of full sentences.
You can fit the cloud into one of 15 shapes, from a heart, star or cloud to a cat, rabbit or butterfly. Pick one of eight text color presets, set any background color (it stays transparent until you do), choose between two fonts (Pretendard or Georgia), and keep words horizontal or mix in vertical ones. The PNG download is square, between 240 and 800 px, and cut to the shape you picked, so it drops straight into slides, a blog post or an Instagram story. Everything runs in your browser; your text is never uploaded.
Word clouds took off online in 2008 with Jonathan Feinberg's Wordle, and they're still a quick way to show what a block of text keeps coming back to — the recurring complaint in reviews, the theme of a retro, the words a song repeats.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is my text uploaded or saved anywhere?
A. No. Word counting and drawing both happen in your browser, and the text you paste is never sent to a server.
Q. Are common words like 'the' and 'and' removed?
A. No. There is no stopword list, so every word of two or more letters is counted. Delete the words you don't want before generating, or paste only the keywords you care about.
Q. How many words end up in the cloud?
A. Up to 250 — the most frequent ones. Capitalization is ignored when counting, and each word is shown the way it first appeared in your text.
Q. What size is the downloaded image?
A. A square PNG between 240 and 800 px, set in the output size field. It is cut to the shape you chose, and the background stays transparent unless you pick a color.
