Daily Math Puzzle
Crack the hidden 8-character equation, like 12+34=46, in 6 tries. Every guess must be a true equation, and green, yellow and gray tiles show which digits and symbols are in the right spot.
How to Play
- The answer is an 8-character equation shaped like 12+34=46: a number, one operator, a number, then = and the result.
- Every guess must also be a true 8-character equation. Use exactly one =, put only a number to its right, and remember × and ÷ are worked out before + and - (2+3×4=14). Numbers can't start with 0 (no 08) and negatives aren't allowed.
- Each tile turns green (right character, right spot), yellow (in the equation, wrong spot) or gray (not in it). Order matters: 34+12=46 is not the same answer as 12+34=46.
- You have 6 tries. A new equation arrives at midnight on your device's clock, and everyone on the same date gets the same one.

Daily Math Puzzle gives you six tries to find one hidden 8-character equation. It plays like the familiar color-tile word game, but instead of letters you build sums from the digits 0–9 and +, -, ×, ÷ and =. The answer always takes the shape number, one operator, number, equals, result: think 12+34=46 or 108÷9=12.
Your guesses have to be true equations too, not random strings. Use exactly one =, put only a number on its right, and remember that × and ÷ are worked out before + and -, so 2+3×4=14 is accepted. Numbers can't start with 0 (no 08) and negatives aren't allowed. After each guess the tiles turn green (right character, right spot), yellow (in the equation, wrong spot) or gray (not in it). Order matters: if the answer is 12+34=46, then 34+12=46 is correct math but not the solution. An opener packed with different digits and symbols, such as 9+8-7=10, uncovers the most clues.
The equation changes at midnight on your device's clock, so everyone playing on the same date gets the same one, and the puzzle number counts up from January 1, 2025. Tap the on-screen keys or type with your keyboard or number pad; * or x enters ×. Today's progress, games played, win rate and streaks are saved in your browser, and when you finish you can share an emoji grid that hides the answer or send friends a challenge link.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What counts as a valid guess?
A. Any true equation that fills all 8 tiles. It needs exactly one =, only a number on the right of it, and × and ÷ are calculated before + and - (2+3×4=14). Numbers can't start with 0, like 08, and negatives aren't allowed.
Q. Is 34+12=46 the same answer as 12+34=46?
A. No. Tiles are checked position by position, so swapping the order gives a different equation. You'd see yellow tiles telling you the right characters are in other spots.
Q. When does the new puzzle come out?
A. At midnight on your device's clock. Everyone playing on the same date solves the same equation, and unfinished progress for that day is kept in your browser.
Q. Is this the official Nerdle?
A. No. Daily Math Puzzle is Giggleus' own equation game and has no connection to Nerdle (nerdlegame.com). The daily equation and puzzle numbers are our own.
