The Giggleus Percentage Calculator solves the four everyday percentage problems on a single screen, free and with no signup or install. Pick a calculation mode, enter two numbers, and the result appears instantly — along with the exact formula used, so you can see how it was worked out. Everything is computed in your browser and never sent to a server.

Four modes are supported. ① N% of a value: find what a given percent of a base number is (e.g. 15% of 25,000 = 3,750). ② What percent: work out what percentage A is of B (e.g. 30 is 20% of 150). ③ Percent change: enter a before and after value to get the increase or decrease with its sign (e.g. 200 → 260 is +30%). ④ Percent increase/decrease: add or subtract N% from a base value (e.g. 40,000 minus 15% = 34,000).

The use cases are endless: working out sale prices while shopping, checking a salary raise or revenue growth rate, calculating test scores and goal progress, tips and VAT, quick interest estimates, or double-checking ratios in reports and statistics — any moment the question "what percent is that?" comes up. Results are automatically formatted with thousands separators and sensible rounding (two decimal places by default) so they are easy to read at a glance.

Below the result card, the copy button puts the full formula on your clipboard for pasting into chats or documents, and the share button sends your calculation to friends. It works identically on mobile and desktop, and dark mode is supported.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. What is the difference between percent change and percentage points?

    A. Percent change measures the change relative to the original value; percentage points are the plain difference between two percentages. Going from 10% to 15% is a +50% change and also +5 percentage points.

  • Q. How do I calculate a price after a discount?

    A. Choose Increase / decrease, pick Decrease, then enter the price and the discount rate — the result is price × (1 − rate ÷ 100), so 40,000 minus 15% is 34,000. To see only the amount saved, use N% of a value: 15% of 40,000 is 6,000.

  • Q. How many decimal places are shown?

    A. Results are rounded to two decimal places; values smaller than 0.01 are shown to six. Giggleus also offers other free everyday tools such as the salary calculator, age calculator, D-day calculator, and character counter.
