Angle Match

Reproduce a target angle by eye, no protractor. A one-shot precision game scored to 0.01%.

How to play

  • Tap Start. A target angle between 15° and 165° (like 67°) appears at the top.
  • The grey line is 0°. Drag the blue arm counterclockwise from it to the angle you think is right, then release to lock it in.
  • The true target arm appears next to yours. Every 0.9° off costs 1% of accuracy; 90° or more off scores 0%.

Angle Match gives you a target angle as a number, a whole degree between 15° and 165°, and asks you to reproduce it with nothing but your eye. A grey line marks 0°; you drag a blue arm counterclockwise from it and let go when it looks right. Your own angle is never shown while you drag, so there's no nudging toward the number.

When you release, the true target arm appears beside yours with the error in degrees. Accuracy is 100% minus 1% for every 0.9° you're off, shown to two decimals: 9° off scores 90.00%, 45° off scores 50.00%, and 90° or more scores 0%. Grades run S (95%+, within 4.5°), A (85%+), B (70%+), C (50%+) and D. Your best score goes onto the ranking automatically, and Retry deals a fresh random angle.

The arm only moves through the upper half-circle, so three landmarks cover the whole board: 90° points straight up, 45° sits halfway between the grey line and vertical, and 135° halfway between vertical and the left side. Find the nearest landmark first, then adjust.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. How do you play Angle Match?

    A. Drag the blue arm counterclockwise from the grey 0° line until it matches the target angle shown at the top, then release. Targets are whole degrees from 15° to 165°, and you get one try per round.

  • Q. How is the accuracy score calculated?

    A. Accuracy is 100% minus 1% for every 0.9° of error, to two decimals. Being 9° off scores 90.00%, 45° off scores 50.00%, and 90° or more scores 0%.

  • Q. What do the grades mean?

    A. S is 95% or higher (within 4.5°), A is 85%+ (within 13.5°), B is 70%+ (within 27°), C is 50%+ (within 45°), and anything lower is D.

  • Q. How can I guess angles more accurately?

    A. Use landmarks: in this game 90° points straight up, 45° is halfway between the grey line and vertical, and 135° is halfway between vertical and the left side. Start from the nearest one and adjust.
