Moon Phase Soulmate

Enter two birthdays and see if your moon phases complete a full moon — the viral TikTok moon phase soulmate test. Free, no sign-up.

Enter your birthday to reveal the Moon phase you were born under — its shape, brightness, and personality. Add someone else's birthday and we'll overlap your two moons to see if they complete a full moon: the TikTok 'moon phase soulmate' test.

How Moon compatibility works

The Moon runs a roughly 29.5-day cycle from new to full and back. We find the phase for each birthday, then overlap the two shapes. The closer they add up to a full moon, the higher your score — opposite phases complete each other, matching phases mirror each other. Each date is calculated for 12:00 UTC on the average 29.53-day cycle, so a day right on a phase change can show the neighboring phase.

What did the Moon look like on the day you were born? Enter a birth date and Giggleus shows that day's moon phase — one of eight, from new moon through full moon and back to the waning crescent — with the lit percentage of the disc and the Moon's age in days. Each phase also comes with a light-hearted personality read.

Add a second birthday — a partner, a best friend, a sibling — and the page overlaps the two moons, the idea behind TikTok's 'moon phase soulmate' trend. Phases that sit half a cycle apart add up to a full moon and score close to 100; phases that nearly match land in Twin souls. You get a 0–100 score, a result band and a shareable image card. Any date from 1900 to 2100 works, and the whole thing is free and just for fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. What moon phase was I born under?

    A. Enter your birth date and the page shows it instantly: one of 8 phases (new, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full, waning gibbous, last quarter, waning crescent), plus the lit percentage and the Moon's age in days. Each named phase covers about 3.7 days of the 29.53-day cycle, so 'Full Moon' means your birthday fell within roughly two days of the exact full moon.

  • Q. Do I need my birth time or time zone, and how accurate is it?

    A. No. Each date is calculated for 12:00 UTC using the average lunar month of 29.53 days, which is enough for a birthday lookup. Because the real Moon runs a little ahead of or behind that average, a birthday right on a phase change can show the neighboring phase — for exact phase times, check an almanac. Dates from 1900 to 2100 are supported.

  • Q. What is the moon phase soulmate test?

    A. It's a TikTok trend: look up the moon phase on two people's birthdays and overlap the moons. If the lit parts fill each other in to make a full moon, the pair are called 'moon phase soulmates.' It's a playful icebreaker, not a real compatibility or relationship test.

  • Q. How is the moon phase compatibility score calculated?

    A. It measures how far apart your two phases sit in the lunar cycle: exactly half a cycle apart (about 14.8 days) scores 100, the same phase scores 0. 85 and above is A perfect full moon, 60–84 Almost whole, 40–59 A steady half-moon and under 40 Twin souls.

  • Q. Is a low score bad?

    A. No. A low score only means your phases are close together, so the result reads as Twin souls — two people who mirror each other rather than fill each other's gaps. No band means 'bad match'; it's all for fun.
