The Narcissist Test is a quick self-report quiz: answer 20 statements about your everyday self and see how strongly you lean toward narcissistic traits like needing attention, expecting special treatment and struggling with criticism. It takes 1–2 minutes and places you in one of four levels: humble and caring, healthy confidence, high need for recognition, or a strong narcissistic tendency.

Each statement is rated from "not at all" (0) to "very much" (3), for a total out of 60. The levels are 0–17, 18–35, 36–47 and 48–60, each with a short readout and tips for relationships. A low score isn't automatically better — some self-focus is what confidence is built on.

The questions are original to Giggleus. This is not the NPI or any clinical test, it does not diagnose narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), and it can't tell you whether someone else is a narcissist. Answers stay on your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. How is the narcissist test scored?

    A. Each of the 20 statements is rated 0–3, so the total runs from 0 to 60. Scores of 0–17 are humble and caring, 18–35 healthy confidence, 36–47 a high need for recognition, and 48–60 a strong narcissistic tendency. The percentage in the share message is simply your score out of 60.

  • Q. Is this the NPI or a clinical narcissism test?

    A. No. The questions were written by Giggleus; it is not the 40-item forced-choice Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI) or any clinical tool, and it cannot diagnose narcissistic personality disorder.

  • Q. Can I use it to find out if my partner is a narcissist?

    A. No. It is a self-report test about you, so filling it in on someone else's behalf doesn't produce a meaningful result. If a relationship leaves you feeling hurt or unsafe, talking to a counselor is a better next step.
